Then we are looking for you as Embedded Software Engineer (m/f/d) for microcontroller firmware development at the earliest possible date for our headquarters in Fulda, Germany or remote.

Your Role

  • Building and maintaining firmware for our devices in a continuous integration driven environment
  • Develop and maintain low level drivers and application software for custom built hardware
  • Participate in the planning process, development, and code reviews within the team
  • Be on-site on request in Fulda to provide hands-on hardware support

Your Skills

  • You are an expert developer with a minimum of five years intensive programming experience in C (design and programming)
  • You love challenges and take responsibility for development and process quality
  • Experience in designing and developing Embedded Systems based on 32-bit microcontrollers (strongly desired)
  • Experience with git, CAN and development on STM32 microcontrollers (desired)
  • Initiative, creativity, analytical skills, team spirit and the ability to work independently

  • Very strong knowledge in the C programming language
  • Experience with low level programming on ARM based microcontrollers, such as STM32 variants
  • Strong knowledge of embedded operating systems on microcontrollers, such as FreeRTOS
  • Being full of energy and be the person that wants to make a difference

  • Strong awareness in software development processes – understand what it means to develop good quality software apart from writing code
  • Excellent communication skills in English

  • Experience with telematics systems and knowledge of network protocols
  • Security knowledge, such as asymmetric cryptography, symmetric cryptography, and hashing
  • Previous experience with continuous integration environments, such as Jenkins
  • Knowledge of the Git version control system and working with GitHub
